# How to Connect 1Brain MCP to ChatGPT

Bring your business systems into ChatGPT. Learn how to add 1Brain as an MCP app in ChatGPT so it can look up your SOPs, policies, and procedures in real time — giving your team instant, accurate answers grounded in how your business actually works.

**Before you start:** Make sure you are signed in to the approved ChatGPT workspace and that Developer Mode is switched on in Settings (only if permitted by your workspace). Creating an MCP app is not available without it.


### 1. Create the MCP Server
* Go to Plugins and choose Add.
* Select the Add custom MCP server option.

### 2. Configure and Authorize
* Name the MCP 1Brain and select HTTPS and OAuth.
* Enter the approved MCP endpoint, create the MCP, and sign in to 1Brain.

### 3. Authorize
* Select the correct organization and authorize access.

### 4. Enable and Test
* Enable the 1Brain connector in a Chat conversation.
* Ask “List my 1Brain categories.”
* Check that the result matches your authorized 1Brain account.
